2011-12 honor scores still being processed by USBC

If you earned a 300 award in the 2011-2012 season, your award has been submitted, however WinLabs has encountered a processing error on the national (USBC) end.

Our local association (TCUSBC) can see in WinLabs that the award is bring processed, however nationals cannot see the award to process on their end.

April and USBC are working on getting your awards processed as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience in this matter.

The Tournament features All Star teams representing 7 different Associations with teams consisting of Youth Girls, Youth Boys, Women, and Men. This was the 36th year of the event.

We wish to sincerely thank Westside Lanes proprietors Mike O'Malley, their bowling center and restaurant staff, Carrie Kallahan, Eric and Tina Rose, Dick and Mary Lindemann, Lorri Brown, Katrina Bowden, Erin Terry, Kevin Brigham, and Leea Haworth for their assistance. Amberli Jewell Scholarship Award

This award is offered every year, however it is not won every year. The Amberli Jewell Scholarship Award is a difficult award to achieve. The applicant must explain the relationship of academics to extracurricular activities, while addressing the value of participation in activities outside of regular school courses, to include community service and volunteer work.

It is with great honor that the TCUSBC scholarship and Jewell committee award this year's Amberli Jewell Scholarship to Brooke Lunsford.  Brooke will be receiving $1000.00 from the Amberli Jewell Scholarship fund to further her academic career.

Congratulations to Brooke we are excited to hear of the great things you will accomplish in your future.

Mike Mills Memorial Scholarship Awards

This year the TCUSBC received four scholarship applications. There were three scholarship amounts to be given out,$1000, $750 and $500, also the chance to receive the Amberli Jewell Scholarship award for $1000.

This year we received an application from a very outstanding young lady that had amazing scholastic marks such as 14 classes she passed with honors, of those 14 8 were advance placement classes and 2 were technical classes in biology.  Scoring a 1670 on her SAT's. Outstanding leadership in her home town of Yelm just to name a few.  She is a wonderful example of how positive and driven our youth can be.

Congratulations to Brooke Lunsford, the winner of the 2012 Mike Mills Memorial Scholarship Award for $1000.

We had two other candidates that were so neck in neck with achievements and community activities and academic achievements the committee couldn't say who was the decisive winner, so congratulations to both Kelsey Mayther and Nicole Hayes each of these ladies will receive $625.

Congratulations to all of our scholarship winners for 2012. We look forward to your accomplishments in all of your futures both academically and in the sport of bowling. Good luck in your future endeavors.
