This year the TCUSBC
received four scholarship applications. There were three scholarship amounts to
be given out,$1000, $750 and $500, also the chance to receive the
Amberli Jewell Scholarship award for $1000.
This year we received
an application from a very outstanding young lady that had amazing scholastic
marks such as 14 classes she passed with honors, of those 14 8 were advance
placement classes and 2 were technical classes in biology. Scoring a 1670 on her SAT's. Outstanding
leadership in her home town of Yelm just to name a few. She is a wonderful example of how positive
and driven our youth can be.
Congratulations to
Brooke Lunsford, the winner of the 2012 Mike Mills Memorial Scholarship Award for
$1000.
We had two other
candidates that were so neck in neck with achievements and community activities
and academic achievements the committee couldn't say who was the decisive
winner, so congratulations to both Kelsey Mayther and Nicole Hayes each of
these ladies will receive $625.
Congratulations to
all of our scholarship winners for 2012. We look forward to your
accomplishments in all of your futures both academically and in the sport of
bowling. Good luck in your future endeavors.
