Youth All-Star Coach

If you are interested in coaching either the Boy's or Girl's Youth All Star Team this spring and summer, now is the time to let us know. Please submit a letter of interest, including your coaching credentials, experience, and any other information to help the All Star Committee decide. You MUST be a current Registered Volunteer, not expiring prior to June 3, 2013, passing the NCSI background investigation.

Youth Match Games

The 2013 Thurston County Youth Match Games was held this past weekend with each participant bowling 9 games on Saturday (three games each center Aztec, Tumwater, and Westside) and finals on Sunday at Tumwater Lanes. A total of 16 youth participated, 7 girls and 9 boys.

Leading qualifying on Saturday were Cortnie Brathovd and Caleb Hathaway. The winners were Brooke Collins and Caleb Hathaway. Each will receive a plaque and $80 in scholarship.

Second place were Alexandra Putzier and Michael Webster, each receiving $60.

Third place were Bernadine Dale and Richard Sigmond, winning $50 each.

Rounding out the field for the girls were: Cortnie Brathovd, Amanda Tagye, Jaclyn Messer, and Nicole Dunn. And the boys: Anthony Bluhm, Jonah Dillingham, Jordan Frost, Rilie Brathovd, Treyshawn Culpepper, and Douglas Gardner.

Each participant will receive all star points based on their positions both days.

BINGO! Update

Saturday, February 16, the 4th annual Bingo for the Cure was celebrated at the Columbian Hall in Lacey. This year the event will benefit ALL types of cancer. The bingo participants raised over $4,400 dollars which will be split between 11 different cancer research.

Community businesses, as well as many individuals donated goods and services to be auctioned, as well as the bingo prizes. This is a fun and special event. Come on out and enjoy next year, third Saturday in February. Watch here for details.
